1. Agreement to Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you"), and RickWilliam ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"), concerning your access to and use of our website https://rickwilliam.com/ and life coaching services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing or using our Services, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with all of these Terms, you are expressly prohibited from using the Services and must discontinue use immediately.
Supplemental terms and conditions or documents that may be posted on the website from time to time are hereby expressly incorporated herein by reference. We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to make changes or modifications to these Terms at any time and for any reason. We will alert you about any changes by updating the "Last updated" date of these Terms, and you waive any right to receive specific notice of each such change.
2. Services Description
We provide online life coaching services through scheduled video consultations via Zoom. Our Services are intended for informational and educational purposes only and do not constitute medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice. By using our Services, you acknowledge and agree that our coaching services are not substitutes for professional medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment.
3. User Eligibility and Representations
To access or use our Services, you must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for ensuring that your participation complies with applicable laws in your jurisdiction. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you will not use automated means to access the Services, will not use the Services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose, and that your use of the Services will not violate any applicable law or regulation.
4. Service Booking, Payments, and Consumer Rights
4.1 Booking Sessions
All coaching sessions must be booked in advance through our website and are subject to coach availability. By booking a session, you agree to attend at the scheduled time via Zoom. Upon successful booking, you will receive session confirmations and important information at your registered email address.
4.2 Payments and Pricing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our third-party payment processor. Fees are displayed in USD unless otherwise specified, and payment must be made in full at the time of booking. We reserve the right to modify our fees with reasonable notice. All prices include applicable taxes for your jurisdiction, and for EU consumers, VAT will be charged according to your location.
4.3 Cancellation, Cooling-off Period, and Refunds
For standard cancellations, we require at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled session. Late cancellations or no-shows may result in a charge for the full session fee. For EU consumers, we provide a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase. However, if digital services begin within this cooling-off period, your explicit consent will be required. Refund requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis and, when approved, will be processed using the original payment method.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on our website and materials provided during coaching sessions are our intellectual property and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. This content is provided "AS IS" for your information and personal use only. You are granted a limited license to access and use the Services and to download or print materials solely for your personal, non-commercial use. Any reproduction, distribution, or creation of derivative works without our express written permission is strictly prohibited.
6. Prohibited Activities
Users of our Services agree to not engage in any unauthorized use or access. This includes refraining from systematic data retrieval without permission, using automated means to access the Services, circumventing security features, or uploading malicious code. Users must not impersonate others, attempt to deceive or defraud, or engage in any activity that interferes with the Services. Additionally, users must not violate any applicable laws or regulations while using our Services.
7. User Contributions and Submissions
Any content you submit to our Services must be accurate, lawful, and not infringe on any third-party rights. It must not be defamatory, abusive, or harmful, and must not contain malicious code or violate these Terms. By submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and distribute the content in connection with providing and improving our Services.
8. Confidentiality and Data Protection
8.1 Session Confidentiality
We maintain strict confidentiality of all information shared during coaching sessions. Exceptions to confidentiality exist only in cases of legal requirements or immediate risk of harm. All coaching sessions are private and will not be recorded unless explicitly agreed upon in writing by all parties involved.
8.2 Data Protection
We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws. For EU clients, we comply with GDPR requirements through appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. You have the right to request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time.
8.3 International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred and processed in countries outside your residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, and for EU clients, we utilize Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your data rights and interests.
9. Third-Party Services
Our Services integrate with third-party services including Zoom for video conferencing and Stripe for payment processing. While we carefully select our service providers, we are not responsible for their practices. You agree to comply with any applicable third-party terms of service while using our Services.
10. Disclaimer and Limitations of Liability

We do not guarantee specific results from coaching sessions and are not liable for decisions you make based on our Services. You acknowledge that success depends on various factors including your dedication and implementation of strategies discussed.
10.2 Limitation of Liability
We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for Services, and we are not responsible for technical issues beyond our control. This limitation of liability does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
11.1 Primary Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Costa Rica, without regard to conflict of law principles.
11.2 International Users
By using our Services, you agree to the transfer and processing of your information globally. For EU users, disputes will be resolved in accordance with GDPR where applicable, while maintaining Costa Rican courts as the primary jurisdiction for legal proceedings.
